We're transported back to her Empyrean Majesty... wait, what did I think?
"Cease fire," my sister says in her velvety voice. The fire mercifully stops. Lifting my head off the dirt, I see that the terrain is still on fire here... maybe someone else has come? Nat maybe? "Leave her to me."
So much for mercy.
Nat isn't here... or if she is/was, she didn't emerge victorious, and that evil maniacal laugh accompanies a killing blast that eradicates all conscious thought as I scream in abject terror and horror and agony...
