"ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!" I exclaim as the plasma attack smashes into my shields obliterating them, then the follow up sets my head and nerves on fire.

"I can't put it out!" Nadia exclaims. "Monica! You okay?!"
"ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!"

"Captain!" Nadia barks over the shipwide. "We need your help."

"I know," Nyssa replies dryly. "Teleporting you to the bridge."
"Teleporting - " the XO begins. Then we are four decks up. Nyssa is turned away from us, clearly disapproving.

"Aren't you going to help her?!" the Romanian yells over my shrieking.

"You're the XO," she points out caustically. "You make mistakes and people suffer."

"Let it be me, instead," she pleads. "Please."
"And would you expect mercy from your direst enemies?" she says coldly. "I think not."
