The RNG gods have spoken and this guy got 5th!
Sooo, this is kind of awkward... I didn't come close to finishing all the training images that was meant to be up prior to this entry x') It's alright though. I'll just get them uploaded in the following weeks instead
That means that the storyline is kind of in the future in this piece and so this image and the story that will hopefully follow, probably doesn't make a whole lot of sense yet x')

The morning of the event was delightfully mild but still slightly warmer than Antoine was used to, and he could tell that the heat would be picking up throughout the day. He had arrived early with Rohan, so they could get familiar with the place well before the crowds of people had arrived. Antoine parked in the designated trailer parking spot near the arenas and stepped out of his car to gauge the area. They were among one of the earliest participants to arrive it looked like. He could only see a couple of trailers and horses grazing in small fields beside them. But before he could check the area out some more, Antoine set up their own little field area beside the trailer and let Rohan out into it. After that, he walked around the area and checked out the warm-up area and arenas, looking out for snakes and other critters as he went. Looking over the free-jumping arenas, he could see that fencing, chairs, umbrellas, etc were still being set up. He heard a familiar neigh coming from the trailer parking area and walking back towards it, he noticed more cars coming in and Rohan getting increasingly excitable. Rohan was green after all and this was an unknown location for him, so Antoine decided to take him out for a walk near the arenas to get him desensitized a bit before the place got too crowded. Once Rohan was haltered and led out of the field, he snorted and looked around at his surroundings. He was especially focused on the approaching cars, the seagulls screeching above and the youngsters getting out of newly parked trailers around them. Antoine let him be this unfocused for a bit, so he could process everything in his own time before Antoine asked him to come along. They walked out of the trailer parking area and towards the warm-up area. Rohan snorted at cars and pranced occasionally on this little trip. When they eventually reached the beach, he sniffed around and tried to taste the sand. Antoine couldn’t help but cringe a little and interrupt him immediately. He walked him around in circles and then lunged him for a bit, working him into a trot so he could blow off some steam before the class started. Rohan gradually calmed down, at least enough for the two to walk quietly towards the free-jumping arenas. As they got closer, some people spotted them, walked up to them and asked permission to pet Rohan. Antoine gave them permission as Rohan seemed curious and not too excitable about them. Around them, more participants were slowly gathering around the free-jumping arenas. Antoine looked at the time on his watch and realized that the class was about to start, and thus he led Rohan towards it as well. The energy in the air began to rise, as the minutes went by and more owners with their youngsters took over the warm-up area and the area around the arenas. On top of that, Rohan was back to prancing and seemed very interested in any nearby horses. The judges arrived and took their place in their judging booth and as if that was the cue, more people took to the umbrella-covered chairs. The class was officially started as the first participant was called in. One by one, horses were called in and got out again. Antoine was mostly focused on keeping Rohan calm, so he looked up in surprise when they were called in. As soon as they entered the arena, Rohan became his energetic, prancy self again. Antoine adjusted the height of the jump to being on the lower end and Rohan got to check it out before they began. They circled the arena and then trotted towards the jumping chute. Antoine clipped the lead off and Rohan immediately sprung into a gallop and turned his attention to the jump ahead. He jumped it with great speed and greatly overestimated the height of the jump. A slight gasp waved through the crowd, as he kicked out way over the jump. As soon as he had landed, he slowed down and pranced towards Antoine, who met him halfway and clipped the lead on again. Rohan received some deserving pats and the jump height was increased. Rohan cleared every round with flying colours, even in the last one where the jump was set to the maximum height of 80 cm. He received many pats from Antoine and a treat, when they were done and out of the arena. Antoine was pleasantly surprised by the colt’s performance and even more surprised that Rohan still seemed to have energy left. Movement and scuffling coming from the umbrella chairs caught the pair’s attention. Many of the audience members were pointing and looking towards the ocean and with good reason; a small group of humpback whales could be seen blowing and breaching the water. It was a magnificent site that paused nearly all activity for a few moments. Soon people turned their attention back to the arenas, where the class resumed. At that, Antoine began leading Rohan back towards the trailer to let him out into the grass field again. Rohan snorted happily and began to graze immediately after being let go. Antoine watched him for a bit and then spent the rest of the event, watching the classes unfold as well as having some occasional bonding time with Rohan.
