I think this was executed very nicely! Any more blur would be too much.
Your description, however, seems like it doesnt really fit. In the photo it looks like he is looking at the gates to a cemetary...why would he want to focus his path toward death? I think it should be reworded a bit, but I really like the idea. The composition and the color tone are great!

No, no! Those gates lead to the oldest University in Portugal! Though sometimes being at the University can be painful

I wanted to keep an 1.50 - 1 ratio, to give this wide feeling of many distractions to both sides, making it harder to focus any goal. Thank you for your feedback!

The structure in the focus is also something that contemplates the picture and i think thats why the sepia style seems so great with it. Such a great idea this one, would be great to see more of things like this
