Description
I actually took this to give people an idea what it's like on these mountains, the trees have no rhyme or reason and Avalanches change the landscape every year.I had the "pleasure" of making my way down the side of one, no path, and you can't see anything but trees, and the occasional cliff or rockwall. we could hear water in the distance but other than that there is no way to orient yourself, you can't see the sun, you can't see the other mountains..your only clue is that if you are going down, you are heading in the right direction, and mountains are massive...everyone knows that but they are even more so, when you are actually below the treeline on one.
would I do so again? hell yes, but hopefully better prepared and planning it this time.
Taken from the outlook at snoqualmie falls of the neighboring mountain. Exposing this was a nightmare, if you expose for sky you lose the trees if you expose for trees you blow out the sky. I actually used my SUNGLASSES over my lens to take this since I had no filters with me that day.

I love landscape like that. It's a lot like Michigan in some places. I love that type of nature. Pure and unaltered.
