Yes, I know. We're in the Windows 8 time now, but, I want to solve this conflict, forever! Soon I'll write somewhere why I think Windows Vista is more than Windows 7. Why fails. How to fix it. How to look on Windows Vista like you look on Windows 7 and more. That's for now.

Hello there. I like Windows Vista. I use Windows 10 but I try to get the Vista look and feel on 10.

You are probably the single person on the entire planet, claiming that Vista is better than Windows 7. Or this is a troll post of somekind?!

Well, it's hard to say that Vista is better than 7, but without Vista, there wouldn't have been a 7 like it is. Vista introduced an aweful lot of features. It's just like Me/2000 and XP. Me and 2000 where the truly innovatie versions of Windows, through Windows XP ran away with all the credit. The same thing happened with Vista and 7, and the same thing is about to happen with 8 and its successor.

If MS waited a little bit after releasing SP2 for vista before releasing W7, Vista would have succeeded in replacing XP

I also think Windows Vista is better than Windows 7, in many ways. Here are a few examples.
Classic Items:
- The Control Panel in Windows Vista is customizable with several different icon viewing modes, and can be grouped by name/content. Even the Control Panel in Windows 98 offers more options for customization than Windows 7...
-- The Classic Start menu was inexplicably removed.
Windows Explorer issues:
- Explorer in Windows 7 forces the Auto-Arrange and Align to Grid options (in other words, users can no longer manually move items in folders).
-- Explorer removes sortable column headings from all icon viewing modes besides Details view. Even in details view, the column headers only allow sorting and filtering; they no longer allow grouping and stacking.
--- Explorer removes the share overlay icon on shared items, which made it easy to identify shared content.
Windows Search issues:
- In Windows Vista, one can specify multiple locations to search in through the Advanced Search UI. In Windows 7, searching multiple locations from a search window is only possible after performing a search.
-- The Search Folders included with Windows Vista (Recent Documents, Recent E-mail, Recent Music, Recent Pictures and Video, Recently Changed, and Shared by Me) are absent from Windows 7.

No, I am serious. I have been using Vista on every computer that I have and I don't have any problems. And Vista always runs better than 7. I can give example: on my laptop with 8 gigs of ram, Vista associating only 1.5 gigs /x64/ and 7 associating about 4 gigs /again x64/. Both in new installs. So, I have been using Windows 7 less than Vista, but I have more problems with the Seven. And no, I'm not the only one. Even in PCbeta you can see a topic for Vista, running better than 7. And another sentence, writed by /I don't know, but I remember what he said/: "Last month chnaged and running Vista now: ways better than 7". And that's just few examples.

While it's not entirely accurate on the Windows 7 side... I love it.
