Hey justwondering what program do you use to draw the characters?

Well what I used to do was draw by hand, and then reoutline and add color using a free program called GIMP 2.0. It has a lot of potential but in my pictures I didn't do a lot of refining.

Well I can Try that the thing is I'm not really a good artisit yet and my draws well for a lack of better words are crappy.

More recently I've been using Paint tool Sai, there should be an english version floating around the internet somewhere. Β Also works really well with my Wacom Intuos tablet. I'd recommend that tablet to anyone trying out digital art; hands down one of the best investments I've made for digital drawings.

Ahh, paint tool sai? I've heard of it. I too have a tablet but, my tablet is the Wacom Bamboo tablet. Thank you for the advice.

Nice work, except the lower leg seems to be scrawny, but who cares about legs anyways? Useless things...Nice inflated anatomy, most people start going overboard after awhile, and the hand in the gut is always a nice touch. I do like how you've made him look puffy and quite soft, so nice work there. Overall, a very good job.

Yeah, but it is sorta a recreation of the cartoon character "American Dragon Jake Long" so it wasn't anything out of my head. Most of the credit goes to the original artist Halfshell, Just one day I sat at the computer with a spiral notebook and I redrew his work by hand, and eventually years later, I put it on the computer. I didn't really like the characters face in the cartoon so I just made it look like something else.
