I'm not sure I get the question right, but I think the answer would contain some of the following: They are custom made (fan characters) inspired by the 80's toyline of My little pony (G1).

Yes, that would be known, in MLP fan cirlces, as Generation 1 MLP, or Gen 1. The current MLP line, Friendship is Magic, is known as Generation 4. So, when I asked if any were based on any one gen, I meant were they based on a specific generation of MLP....so, yea.
