Description Dear World:

I’ve tightened the noose
Around my own frail neck.
I will sacrifice dignity to flush away
The memory of those pained eyes
That have branded themselves to my eyelids at night.
You will be glad to see me go,
And I will gladly leave the weight of my guilt
Like shackles binding me to that bloody tree.
Only a fool would weep over my corpse,
A fool more lost than I.

Will anyone ever again be more lost than I?

I would gladly wish that the memory of me
Fade like that waking nightmare,
With no more detail than an after-feeling of horror,
But I cannot expect bloodstains
To remove themselves.

Peace unto he who escapes into oblivion quietly,
Unto he who would not be missed.
