Sadly this is a very true poem (unfortunately, from my studies in business administration, it's more about who you know and the connections you have with the company than experience...it's even way worse that education barely matters at all in current year)...any ways, great job in speaking the truth

That's also my experience, it's all connections based. But you also need the other stuff, the degree and "professional" experience to even get a connection or you get filtered out automatically. Without you are absolutely screwed thrice and stuck where you came out unless your profession is local and willing to let you in without the web process. Meritocracy is dead, if it ever really existed.

Agreed; all of us should still "hang in there" and hopefully someday, we'll all get the career we always wanted or at the very least, better jobs (definitely "don't give up")
