In fact, the full number of FPs has yet to be determined. These massive numbers are thought to be possible due to the abundance of their natural prey, the red herring. Their bodies have a unique property which evenly distributes any reflected light, essentially leaving the creature itself without shading. Even if you put them in pitch darkness or shine a light on them, it appears to be impossible to truly shade an FP. While they have a cute and inviting façade, most FPs seem determined to cause chaos wherever they wind up, whether it be to friend or foe. It has been theorized that the FPs know about the origin of DAREs, but hold back information to mess with everyone."
