You don't want a cat raised by two brothers that give in to her every impulse to play. If we don't keep up on her nails we come away bloody. She didn't have a mother to teach her what's too rough. We thought it was cute when she weighed a few ounces, but now she is almost ten pounds and can cause some real damage. This is not a cat for a fine boned lady.

Aki is from the same mould as my darling cat who also had no mother to teach her manners either...I never thought I would meet another like her. I have seen that look in my cats eye...you don't move and you don't argue.
Now SHE WAS a fine boned lady with many sides to her character, and I think Aki is the same. If your brother tires of Aki I will pay the shipping and quarantine costs.

Sounds like to me it may be time for a new one. Of, course you'll have to get someone to look after it when you go on trips. Sure, they are mad when you get back, but they make up pretty fast.

Truely, I broke my heart over this one. I MEAN it...NEVER again. I'll never regret having her, but I''ll never risk that kind of loss again. I'd sooner go without.
So I joke about giving Aki a home, but I sure would love to 'cat-sit' a character like her, if Cris went away!!! Shame she is on the other side of THE PLANET!

Sorry to hear you say that. I just know there is a little kitten waiting at the shelter for someone to love her. They sell these cat carriers. You can take her on trips with you. Besides, people with pets live longer...unless of course it's this cat.

I can't go there Jeff. I just can't go there. The very thought of loving another fills me with horrors. It will always end in heartbreak. To love is ALWAYS to lose, in the end, in this case, death. Once bitten, twice shy. I learn my lessons first time round. SHE was worth the hurt at the end for the time I had with her, but I can't face that ache again which is inevitable. I know theres others out there but I can't look, she spoiled me for anyone else. Can you have any idea how soft I was/am on this cat? I really am TOO soft!!
