Description Shinguji Sakura of Sakura Wars series by Sega

A birthday gift to ancode and must admit that I am not sure what to draw for him until I stumbled onto some of his Sakura Wars themed fan arts in his gallery page.Probably there may be some errors in this piece as I somewhat rushed through it since I try to juggle between the birthday gift arts, the requests and the comics I am working on especially I keep telling myself not to rush so many times.

Most of the younger generations probably may recognised her in "Project X(Cross) Zone" but for the older ones, such as myself,we learned of her existence in Sakura Wars series which is basically, part strategy and part dating simulation game which required you to interact with the girls to build their trusts before being sent into the battlefield to defeat the enemies.Based on how you interact, the trust will fall or increase which in turn affect their stats and eventually, the girl that you won over the trust most will appear in the ending hence the replay value especially to collect all of their cut scenes.

Technically,Sakura was the main heroine in the first two Sakura Wars series before the stage was shifted from Japan to France in part three which introduced another squad that eventually teamed up with their Japanese counterparts in part four.Sakura still appeared briefly in part three before she settled down with the protagonist at the end of part four and appeared briefly in part five to introduce the new protagonist who was sent to America as the new squad leader.

Part five certainly offered more freedom in many aspects as it was first introduced on PS2 but with part four already offered a satisfying closure, part five appeared somewhat stale and redundant which led to the sad end of the franchise.Lastly, hope he will like it and Happy Birthday.

Its awesome! I first knew about sakura taisen more than 10 years ago, due me being a fan of Kosuke Fujishima's works. I even manage to get the games - in japanese - and beat the first one (with the translation printed xP but was pretty annoying to play this way, though it was pretty fun).

Thank you very much ^^
