Ithran has quite a few loves, some of which are more abstract and others which are quite concrete. He's dedicated his life to reshaping the world to be a better, purer place than it is now. He loves his cause and would never abandon it. This determination is such a part of him that he cannot imagine leaving his goal before it is complete. He's using his work as spy not only to help the Vindicator cause but to spread his own ideas of a new world that he believes is possible to create, though it might be a hard journey before it can be made real.

That's not all he loves, though. He has what he still thinks of as a 'deep fondness' for a certain Vindicator and ex-slave. While he might not yet completely understand just how much he loves her, she's deeply important to him and he would do nearly anything for her (including meet her grandparents, no matter how intimidating they and Breim culture are). He loves her dedication, her loyalty, and her courage, and thinks that if half the Vindicators had her strength and heart they'd succeed in months. That isn't to say he thinks poorly of any of the Vindicators, but his opinion of Eshana is just slightly inflated. Not terribly inaccurate but he's certainly a little blinded by his affection for her.

He loves Kaia as well. His love of her earth is part of what makes him so dedicated to bringing harmony between the herds. He believes that if only more people would take the time to understand her and the earth that gives them life they would be less likely to mistreat each other or start terrible wars for reasons that, if they had the right perspective, would seem absurd and more than worthless.
