Description
Full View PleaseAt the beach in Ft. Lauderdale. This time under the pier.
I know it is a "cliche" shot. It's been done about a million times.
I just thought I'd give it a shot.
Tell me what you think.

verryyyy nice photo, but as commented before, you should try cropping more and focus on the repetition, but otherwise beautiful photo!

Ok here is some constructive critique:
Burn the whites - they draw too much attention and throw the image out of balance
Crop deeper - in the next set of pillars so as to lose some white, and lead the eye to the almost endless repetition of pillars
Rotate just a few degrees CCW to get the horizon line level and enhance the endless feeling.
Careful processing can do miracles and today whit all the software ease very few pic should be left raw (I think)
Please do not take this as critisizing. i am trying to suggest interventions that perhaps improve what is alread a really nice picture.

Thank you very much! I really appreciate good critique!
As a matter of fact that is what I wanted.
About the whites, I do agree with you. I was afraid of that when I posted it. I spent hours trying to get the right contrast on this shot over and over again. I couldn't seem to get it right. It was either too much or too little.
About the crop, I did try to do it like you suggested it, yet I was afraid of quality loss.
On the level of the horizon... you got me! I just realized it and it was careless of me.
Again thanks very much for the great comment!

if you are using photoshop try the Burn tool (it is just like darkroom burning)
Cropping reduces size of the pic but you can always enlarge it in the software up to 100% with minimal grain increase.
Some of mine are just a faction of the original yet were sold just as well (see [link] ">Lundvich in my galery)
keep it up, you are doing a great job!

Great shot! Love the repeating effect of the pillars (does that makes any sense? it's late )

Thank you so much for the comment!
I guess it was more luck than timing.
But don't tell anyone!
