Real name or alias: Maddy

D.O.B: July 2nd, '93

Where in the UK do you live/come from/have family ties? I was born in London and that is where my maternal family is. My paternal family are in Scotland. I currently live in South Wales.

What does your username mean? Kizzie is a mix between Kim and Izzie, 2 of my favourite characters from a soap when I was younger Frizzie because it rhymed with Kizzie

Favourite music: I like rock, alternative, indie, but never dance or club music. I like P!nk mainly. Depends what mood I am in.

Favourite films: All of the Transformers, Memoirs of a Geisha, Lion King, Pocahontas, Robin Hood...etc

Favourite books: All of the Eragon series, The Pillow Book of Cordelia Kenn, Perks of Being a Wallflower, The BFG, too many to name

Hobbies: Horse-riding, reading, writing, swimming

Writing Life:

When and why did you begin to take your writing seriously? I started to take my writing seriously when I was about 16. At the time I was going through a lot of difficult stuff, and writing was a lifeline for me.

What inspires you to write? A lot of things, my mood, music, the people around me. It can range from nature to something my mum says at the dinner table.

Do you write primarily prose or poetry or a mixture? I primarily write poetry, but I do have one or two pieces of prose.

Do work in any other mediums? Not really, my main strength lies in writing.

What issues do you find yourself dealing with in your work? Mainly heartache, grief, anything depressing

What do you aspire to in terms of your writing? I wish that my writing can relate to the person who is reading it, and for the reader to feel some of what I felt whilst writing it.

Who do you like to read on DA? I like to read Gary Gary-thedreamingpoet and Stephany, HugQueen .

Who are your favourite authors/poets outside of DA? I like Jodi Picoult, and a poem called 'A London Thoroughfare 2AM' by Amy Lowell.

Do you have any writing habits/rituals? I like to write in a book as opposed to typing, I also like to have some music on

Why did you join LitGuildUK ? I was invited by Laura, and chose to accept cause she's such an awesome writer

What do you like about the group? I like the way that the group is headed, and the membership points system, it gives individuals a chance to grow as writers

What do you dislike about the group? Nothing so far, only been here a day or so!
