|Stubborn|Rui is extremely stubborn and set in his ways even to the point of needing a large amount of convincing to just be a Mahou and fight. He will not listen or change his mind for anybody unless someone makes an extremely good point.
|Listless|Rui tries really hard to be lazy, which is an oxymoron in itself, he spends most of his days when not fighting evil, sleeping in his bed and lazing about. Even eating, he claims, is too troublesome a task.
|Bossy|Rui is extremely bossy and strong-willed. Often this is a result of wanting to get things done quickly so he can hurry up and go back to bed.
|The Straight-Man|Rui is the type to point out the obvious that everyone seems to be missing and will often tsukkomi situations that seem to be obviously abnormal to him but everyone else seem to act as if it is natural.
|Easily Flustered |Rui is a pretty easily embarrassed kid and due to his appearance being regarded widely as cute he will often become flustered and irritable easily in response to being called such or treated in a childish manner. He is also un-use to praise and gratitude directed at at him and will often reply hostilely with a flustered face that betrays his harsh words.
|Secretive|Rui isn't one to particularly speak about himself or his reasons for things as he doesn't easily trust others.
|Hard-working/Serious|
Rui, despite his seemingly listless and lazy behavior, is actually an extremely hard worker to the point that he works hard to even be lazy. When he decides to do something he will do it to the best of his ability which is what resulted in his becoming burnt-out and NEET-like behaviors.
|Kind|Although it'd be a miracle for him to admit it, Rui is extremely soft and kind-hearted on the inside and cares deeply for others. He often will go out of his way to do things for others but then claim he did it for himself.

Despite his childish appearance Rui is very mature in behavior and acts more like a mother than a teenager.

History

  Rui was born to a mother and father (and soon after he was born a little sister as well) in an average middle class household and grew up to go to an average school and receiving above average grades due to his hard working behavior, though because of this he never had time to make friends and was seen as anti-social.   However, upon entering his first year of high school his seemingly average life became troubled.

Rui was a Sheltered child due to his middle class upbringing and until then had never encountered, luckily enough, people who wished him ill-will, but he became the target of quiet a nasty group. He believed these people to be his friends thus he gave it his all to make them happy: Doing their homework, buying their lunches, and in general beckoning to their every will and whim; he was just simply too naive at the time to realize he was being taken advantage of. That is, until he began to grow tired and unable to keep up with their orders. Eventually, even the hard-working Rui, running on his last leg timidly spoke up to his "friends" expressing his growing fatigue and how he wasn't sure if he'd be able to keep it all up. In return his so called friends told him if he could do one last task for them they'd give him a break; this task happened to involve the slandering and assault of a kind female classmate. Rui simply couldn't comply and told them such. In response Rui's "friends" told him if he wouldn't do it then he'd take the punishment in her place and thus witnessed his "friends" betraying him and received quiet a beating at their hand. He was left lying there aching and bruised full of such extreme anguish which soon, after managing to get back home, turned to anger, his first and only "friends" just beat the crap out of him after all he did for them. At that moment he had resolved he was done; he never wanted to do anything for anyone else again, he wanted to only live for himself.

After that Rui stopped going to school and locked himself in his room and all attempts by his parents and sister to coerce him out failed. He had grown cynical and distrusting of others and was dead set on being as lazy and carefree as possible to make up for how stupid he thought he was for wasting his time caring for others. Months past and he only left his room late at night to eat and do bathroom necessities when everyone slept. Then it happen.

One morning at the crack of dawn, Rui found himself waking to a strange feeling. He turned over in his bed to see, laying in the middle of his room floor, a brightly colored...stick? He just laid their and stared until suddenly a voice,

"Hello Hooman! I have so exciting news for you!"

In the middle of his room stood a small pink cat with only one eye. He looked at the cat expression unwavering before he rolled back over muttering under his breath something like "man I have some weird as hell dreams".

"H-hey! Don't just go back to sleep! This is serious business!" The cat retorted loudly.

Rui turned back over with a sigh," what do you want weird dream cat?"

"I'm not a dream! I'm Bella Donna! and you are a Mahou!"

Rui stared at the dog in disbelief," I think this weird dream cat just told me something stupid", he then lifted the box of cereal from his bed stand to see if any of the ingredient could have caused strange hallucinations.

"Please listen! The world is in danger and you have a desire that is strong enough to grant you the magic to save it!"

Rui looked at Bella Donna once more and in a dry tone," are you telling me I'm a magical boy?"

"Hmm I guess in some parts of the world it is known as that by humans so...essentially... yes!" Bella Donna replied.

"Ahh I see, well then good night weird cat."

"Hhheeeeyy! I said don't just sleep, the world needs you! and my name is Bella Donna!"

"I'm not interested Della Bonna."

"It's Bella Donna! and hey, according to my knowledge your desire is something you can't have without accepting this position!"

Rui turned over to once more look at the cat and raised an eyebrow before Bella Donna continued," that's right! How carefree a life do you think you'll have if disastrous monsters ravage the earth's surface disturbing your peace? I'm honestly not even suppose to be here right now be grateful! Just pick up your weapon and it'll explain everything! Bye!" with that the pink cyclops cat disappeared disappeared.

Rui Hesitantly looked over the "weapon" laying in his floor before picking it up, "no matter how you look at it, its just a brightly colored stick", he thought when suddenly before his eyes a star shaped mark began to glowed yellow on the back of his hand and the stick changed into a huge scythe, " WHAT THE @#$%!"

Rui came crashing down on his floor scythe knocking over several items in his room.

"R-Rui...is everything okay?" it was his mother's voice calling out from the other side of his closed door.

"FINE! TOTALLY FINE!" He called back in a panic. He wasn't quiet sure why but there was some sort of 6th sense telling him this was something that must be kept a secret. Standing back up Rui caught his reflection in his room mirror, " F-FLASHY! TOO FLASHY!" he exclaimed surprised at his no longer black hair and plain clothes.

"F-flashy?" His mother replied.

"It's nothing! I'm fine!"

That's when he saw it- out side his window a hideous giant monster, "ahhh", he sighed," I suppose that is suppose to be my job now? How troublesome. I rather not. It looks gross." He crawled back into bed.

A rumbling footsteps echoed in the distance. Rui fidgeted restlessly in his bed.

The monster let out bone chilling roar.

"FINE! FINE! I GET IT! I'LL GO KILL THE GROSS MONSTER OR WHATEVER! UHG SUCH A PAIN! I JUST WANT TO SLEEP!" he shouted sliding open his glass door that led to the small balcony attached to his room before climbing over the railing. Thus Rui's Mahou life started in the name of carefree living!

After Rui's Awakening as a Mahou, despite his strong will to only laze around, he diligently took on the job of fighting Wraiths for the sake of his peace and quiet and soon even returned to school with new found confidence, of course he wouldn't admit to that as from his own mouth but with an expression betraying his words "well I mean what if they showed up at school or near school? I'd be less work to already be there right so of course I'd go!"

ABILITY#1: AGILITY BOOST : Is able move more quickly and agilely than a regular human due to how well his lazy behavior preserves his energy when not in his Mahou form, however he can only use it a limited number of times before he will pass out and end up sleeping for a period of time and become unwakeable until regaining his energy back.
ABILITY2#: BARRIER : A barrier which can be used as a shield and/or hide the presence of magic and magic beings from normal non-magic humans however this consumes a high amount of energy and is very difficult to use simultaneously with any other ability
ABILITY#3:    STAR SHOWER : Essentially projectiles which take the form of shooting stars and has a large amount of destructive power however is completely unusable by Rui unless he is in a highly emotional state which is considerably hard for a boy of such calm and collected demeanor.
