Personality:
[ | Understanding | Isolde looked up from her large book, glancing at the nervous bunny in front of her. She let out a faint purred. "Something you need to talk about?" Closing her book, she pushed it aside and kept her ears open as the bunny explained. "You see... There's this tom who I really adore," Her voice quivered at the mention of the tom, a lovestuck stickiness. "But I don't know how to approach him... I'm not the most social... Oh... This must sound so stupid." Isolde watched as the bunny blushed and looked away. "Oh no." She reached over and took her paw in a soft grip, giving a soft smile. "I understand, and I think I can help." | Isolde has learned over time about the stereotypical issues someone could have, and from plenty of books that all someone needs is someone who wouldn't laugh at their problems. Being lovestuck but worried can be helped by someone helping you get the guts to talk to the one you love. ]
[ | Multi-talented | It was late afternoon, and Isolde had her muzzle stuck in an older scroll. She was interested to learn of her hometown's lore and history, until tapped on the back by a claw. Looking up, an older teenage dog looked down at her with a grin. "So I heard you can teach science, right? And clearly you can read pretty well, those ink scratches never made sense to me. But what about math?" Was that a challenge to see what she could help with? "Yes." "Social Studies?" "Up to a certain age, yep." "Hmmm... Fishing?" "Yes. Barely, but my dad taught me enough to teach someone else." "Well done." He let out a growl of approval. "Mind helping me fish?" "I see no reason why not." | Isolde isn't a jack of all trades. Although she knows a lot about different subjects, like anyone, she soars in only a few. But she pushes herself to learn each subject up to a certain age in order to teach each person at least the basics. ]
[ | Believing | "Did you hear about Poppy? She's getting married to a rabbit!" A group of foxes yipped from a nearby table, trying to be quiet but failing. Instinctively, and also curious, Isolde got up and walked over. "Excuse me." She interrupted the group, a smile on her face. "I would appreciated the group here to quiet down, but also a question. I heard Poppy was engaged to a raccoon like herself by a group a couple days ago. I am now really, really confused." | While being able to believe is a trait helpful to console someone, when you work somewhere where gossip gets thrown around daily, you may end up believing every single one and getting yourself VERY confused. This is Isolde's case. ]
[ | Indecisive | Isolde snapped awake with a simple thought. Sitting up, she tried to collect the memory or thought back. That's right... she had promised TWO people that she'd go to TWO all-day events with them. Today! She just couldn't decide who she wanted to spend more time with, and had gotten herself into a big twist. She had to go SOMEWHERE today, But... maybe she could call in sick? | Like everyone, Isolde has to make daily choices. Although they are easy to make when one is clearly the bad idea, when there's TWO good options, suddenly everything goes crazy. They both seem so good! Why can't she have both? ]
[ | Mysterious | "Look at her." A rabbit quietly nudged his friend, directing his attention to the tort-tabby at the desk. She always was quiet at the desk, besides whispering to the select few who approached her desk. It was almost like she was a ghost... she didn't really leave the desk until after hours. | Because it is, in fact, a library, Isolde is really quiet. Most people who want help contact her outside of work, so the few who need her during hours have to be really quiet. No can ever tell what the two of them exchange. ]
[ | Obsessive | As a raccoon approached Isolde's desk with a book, she noted the clutter of book surrounding the young librarian. The cat was flipping through each one quickly and excitedly, seeming obsessing almost every single word. "Excuse me?" The Librarian then looked up, so shocked that a couple books fell and hit the ground. "Desk seems a bit... cluttered." "I'm so sorry I was doing research and... and... oh my I really made a mess didn't I?" A giggle exchanged between the two of them and the cat quickly checked out the book, writing it down. | Once Isolde focuses at one things, everything else sort of fades out. The whole concept of space being needed is forgotten, cluttering every available space with materiel. She flips from one to another, knocking almost everything off the space when she remembers she needs space, but also forgot the books were there. It's a habit. ]
History:
-Birth ~ 2 years-
Isolde was born in a small house in Oroyan that surprisingly only held her mother and father. Named after her grandmother and aunt, her name has an unusual combination of different origins. These few years were quiet, besides her scurrying everywhere! She felt it was needed to explore EVERYTHING. Trying to climb up a chair, trying to run or crawl out the door, she went almost everywhere that she could reach without getting caught. Which actually was far in the small 3-roomed house.
This was a bit of an issue when she did get caught, which resulted with a slap to the cheek and a scolding. Surprisingly, at 18 months, she calmed her adventures of crawling/walking.
Recollections after later years collect conversations between her parents about Cervisces, and how to get her ready.
Upon turning two, her and her siblings were put into school, picked up by some older students. She was a bit panicky, but not because of leaving her parents, but of the way she was being held. She actually didn't make a fuss, unlike her younger siblings.
-2.5 ~ 6 years -
Isolde quickly adjusted to being schooled. Tests showed that at an early age, she could understand words and conecpts better than others. She was quickly but thoroughly taught how to properly read and write. The issue popped up when being taught math and science, leading to several tens of scoldings by her teachers.
As quick as she learned how to read, she learned to keep her head down in subjects she didn't soar in. She never felt too prideful about her grades, never raised her hand one time too many, and was quiet during these classes. Just enough not to be relocated to the Pupil Hall, but not too amazing.
She tried to be social, she really did, but the students she tried to talk to always seemed to be stuck up and not like fun. They didn't care too much about her and how she acted.
-6.5 ~ 10 years -
This time period was when Isolde started to become curious about spirits and an afterlife. She remembered an afternoon when she was around 7, when she got a letter speaking of how her father had passed away. As a means to cope, she separated herself from her siblings. She was upset at herself and her house at making it so she couldn't spend enough time with her father during his last days. Studies came first there.
Soon, though, she got hit with this idea of the perfect place her dad would be. She started studying books from years before, speaking of the same idea. The concept was called 'The Afterlife'.
During her free time outside of her studies she stayed at the large library located in the Pupil Hall. Many got the idea of her not only being a 'nerd', but also that she was in between being located to a new family. It actually was that her and her siblings were being located to a new family. Without the ability of being disciplined by a father, it was needed to be moved to a family where there was a father.
In the Pupil Hall, she came upon several kids with issues in academics or other traits, such as social, and offered to help. She became a secondary sister to many kids, or a teacher. She was always willing to listen and help, even getting in between fights.
This came up while Isolde was talking to some other kids there. She joked how she wasn't shown this library until after her dad died, and the other kids slowly explained to her that the library was almost bait for her to stay. Her and her siblings were being relocated.
This fact hit her hard, but she never brought it up. None of her other siblings knew this, only her, the eldest.
At 9, it was decided that she would put some more studies onto her magic abilities. They weren't surprised when they discovered her aura was one of a meditor. At once she questioned of the communication with the paranormal with her magic. This could only be done in a higher lever, they explained. Immediately she threw herself into her magic studies, focusing on Radiant.
-10.5 ~ 15 years -
Isolde was now one of the most popular kids in the Pupil Hall, and everyone came to her with issues. Some even came over to her to help cope with death. Never telling her siblings about how they were being relocated, a new family finally deemed suitable for the siblings showed up 4 years after their biological family was deemed unsuitable.
Her siblings were in raged with Isolde for not telling them they were being relocated, and she became quiet around her family. She never well adjusted to her new parents, no matter how much they tried to make her understand they loved her. They actually did, and thought Isolde was the role-model on how kids should act. Although not following the 'Seen not Heard', she almost passed for the stereotype for that saying. She only talked when needed at the Pupil Hall.
In order to be kept in the Pupil Hall, although she now had a new family and had high academic scores, she volunteered to work at the library. She immanently showed promise in that field, having the collected knowledge needing to be known about books and author to be successful in the field.
This job was a dream for her, and she decided at 13 this would be her job. No other ones would fit perfectly. The perfect place to teach is where the items are available.
-15.5 ~ 16 years -
At 15, she was presented with an amazing gift left from her father. Not her foster father, but her biological one. After his room was searched after his death, and after being passed from paw to paw, Isolde finally received a metal necklace with a gem holding her aura. She shared the same one as her father... the gift meant the world to her.
As in relationships, for this was the age group many were getting married or planning, or getting boyfriends or girlfriends, Isolde only found herself with scarce crushes on the teenagers she helped out. So she was single.
She still studied was she now called 'Spiritual Connections Studies'. It was just given a title like that to make it not seem too... not helpful? She didn't question it, but she loved rambling the title off to others.
