Description
Overview of my HO scale layout. It's based on the Santa Fe railway in Southern California during the late 1950s. Orange groves, a growing post war military presence, and the Mojave Desert round out the California theme.

I really like how you have a balanced amount of scenery vs track, rather than just cramming in as much track as possible (for example having the suburban area in the lower right part rather than putting in a spur and an industry).

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback.
I prefer more scenery than track when designing a layout. True this limits train operations, but it always looks more realistic this way

Thanks.
That house is an old Suydam kit. It's still being made by Alpine Division Scale Models. Called Dr. Whyte's House

Pretty much everything you see is a kit in some form or another. So yes I guess I do build them.
