Description
A less...shiny picture.Aljan from the firebringer trilogy. About 7/8" at the horn. Sculpey firm over thick wire armature. Acrylic, dark blue cat-eye glass beads as eyes, viscose hair. There are some "reject" pictures of him in my scraps

I have a very curious question.. in all your pieces your unicorns hair seem to be put well down.
how areyou piecing it on their without it looking all clumpy, and what glue are yo using? Ive seen some pieces but ppl on ebay & it looks all clumpy, but yours is fabulous.

Most people use Mohair, which is a natural hair. I use viscose which is synthetic, and very cheap

He looks awesome. I think I remember reading you saying something about creating Aljan from the Firebringer Trilogy. I was interested in checking it out.
If you don't mind me saying...his head looks a little large.
You definately understand the workings of the body of these creatures. They're wonderful. Believable

I thought I had the measurements down, but I may have lost track and built the head up more than I intended. I was having a few problems with the underlying armature of the head (half the head diddn't have one!) so I ended up spending way too much time making him not look like a melting wax sculpture xD His head is based off of Arabians too, and I think they have big heads.
