(actually inspired by AR-15 style rifles found on some in-game advertisement posters)
A classics revisited. A modernized piston driven variation of Eugene Stoner's designed AR-10/15 rifle courtesy of Militech Corporation LLC. Originally made for 2070s New United States Army's standard issue 8mm Militech battle proven medium rifle round, already used in yet again New United States Army's standard issue infantry arm - Militech-designed and produced M251s Ajax assault rifle.
Due to buraucratic error the modifications and improvements made to this model were not patented and the design details was leaked online during some rival-corporation funded netrunner attack on Militech servers in Santa Monica. However, Militech corporation's top brass took the otherwise unfavorable outcome of competitors offering copies of the rifle (one of that being Soviet Union's Novosibirsk Weapon's Plant Stelec-SM rifle, almost identical copy however chambered in more common calibers for European region) as part of the campaign to prove Militech's commitement to long-standing American tradition of free market competition while denouncing Arasaka's reluctancy to lift veil of secrecy around their prized "Save your Soul" biochip technology (also due to 2071 Militech's horrifically failed attempt at producing their own copy of that chip).
