The sun and mist are creating some strange effects in this - not too bad a thing, the terrain itself it not too eye catching and the textures I think are really effective with the changes in altitude, there is a strange effect on the closer ones where the black textures seen to follow the polygons.

i think the lighting is fine, except i dunt understand why its dark on the other side (maybe this is what aleks was talking about)

Very well done render .. I'm not sure if its a set of mountains or what .. but the top part of the mountains look lighter, then there's a somewhat sudden change to a darker tone .. is that from the sky perhaps? The textures are awesome on this ... perhaps have some snow creeping down the valleys of the mountain .. like its melting a bit and sliding down.

I agree with cadis, though.. maybe if the mountains were a little more varried? Or removing one of the closer ranges altogether? Other than that, it is a very nice render.

Only thing I don't quite like is that the mountain are kind of miniature versions of each other...they each seem to have a hill in the samne spot
