Description
This is an acrylic painting on a 30"x36" stretched canvas. I had a hard time getting it to feel finished. I worked on it off and on for over a year. The colors changed twice.Related content

Beautiful work! Unique, dark and gritty. I really like it. I don’t know why the person is crying or about to harm himself but there is lots of things to consider…the plant he is wrestling for instance is it trying to get him and why has he thrown his trumpet away. It has a real spirit about it but at the same time its very grim. I like how you have painted the canvass, as it is very pleasing to the eye with its tonal changes and coloured structures. Heaps of things to reflect about and contemplate as you look at it anyway

I tried to keep a balance between the sometimes grim images and a pleasing color pallet. It is meant to be a college of images that may or may not relate. The viewer supplies the the link. Is is really grim or is it a simple mystery? I think all of our lives are filled with some mystery. Is life all bad? Is life all good? I guess you could say it is a matter of perspective. I think life for most is a blend of the two. This is what makes us human. How do we over come? Some how must of us do.
