"Why do we have to wake up so early?""I don't want to miss a moment with you."
"You should finally move in."
"As who?"
"As my favourite. In other words, you will do as you please and nobody will ask questions. I hosted friends this way many times in past."
"I don't want to be your favourite. I want to marry you."
Shavana smiled sweetly.
"You know it's impossible. I can't marry someone like..." she stopped in mid-sentence, biting her lip. "I'm sorry, Cal. I can't help it. But I love you. Come to me."
Calian got up and started to look for his clothes.
"I need to go back."
"Does the guild need you? I thought we still have three days left."
"I have to go", he repeated, dressing up. "I have to get away from this gilded cage you made for me."
"My sweet lone wolfie", she laughed. "I know you detest this place. There are no safer caves for us."
"Yes, I'm a fucking wolf, Shav", he interrupted her furiously, turning around with rage in his eyes. "And I won't be your pet anymore. You think you can own me like all this junk."
"You knew well what you were agreeing to." Shavana's voice lost its tenderness and sounded cold, but she quickly restored her calmness. She reached her arms to him. "Don't be such a child. We can be happy here for as long as we wish to."
She saw in his eyes though that her charm was not working on him anymore.
"And how long do you want to take it? Until you marry some wealthy douchebag your family chooses? You think I'm going to comfort you then? No, Shavana, I'm tired of this."

So now you know why Cal left. Taming wolves is a hopeless task as they have their own packs and won't tolerate treating them inferior. Unless you are a skilled beast master, which Shavana is definitely not.
Started in November, finished today because end of artblock.

Wow it's interesting to see Cal in such an intimate moment and to see how he's like with someone he loves... She looks proud and aristocratic, while he seems hurt and distant, as he feel there's no hope left for them. Do they break up now for good?
Great job with the poses and the lighting, it looks very real - I can't stop looking at it! (Shavana's coiled pose made me smile because I also sit in this kind of poses

Actually, it's a glimpse from times when he was way more approachable and less alcoholic.
At the moment he thinks they break up for good, and she thinks he's going to return at some point anyway. But he probably won't, he's going to become very busy soon.

I can imagine, indeed he seems here younger and less disillusioned (or rather this seems like a turning point in terms of his disillusionment). Which makes me wonder, what exactly did he like in Shavana? What does he look for in a woman?

Oh yes, Shavana was hell of a turning point. He stopped to trust women after this relationship A LOT.
I think he's pretty simple in that stuff... he's a manly man, he likes womanly women. XD Shavana is seductively beautiful, intelligent, fun and comforting to be with, has wide hips.

Maybe it would, but before Isil and Cal get to the actual romantic relationship stage it takes pretty long (they are busy with more important things than romance), so it's pretty irrelevant. And it's not like Cal is the main difficult person to tolerate. Isil is way more difficult to tolerate.

Haha yeah that's right! At least Cal can be silent and nonintrusive when he wants to, and I guess that's most of the daily life. I'd like to see Isil in her bad moments with Cal, throwing a tantrum or simply being really stubborn, would be fun to see how they both react. ^^ Do they ever fight, btw, like physically? xD

Heheh, you might see some glimpses of those in future. Some are pretty silly, some pretty serious.
I haven't given it much thought, I imagine Cal might have some aggression problems (like most men in this culture and times), but usually he releases the pressure on training. Isil might look like she could go around and beat people, but she never does that, she just shouts at them. XD She's way weaker physically than Calian, so she doesn't stand a chance. In some screwed up situation they might end up fighting (for instance, with alcohol in the background), but I don't really see Cal hitting a woman. Even if he doesn't trust women all that much anymore, he still had pretty good role models (his mother and older sister). Also, cultural customs in Duinegal don't perceive aggression towards women justified in most cases. Especially towards fellow huntresses. So I don't think I will ever write such scene for now, but who knows

I see, I thought it would be something like that... I don't imagine Cal doing that either, unless he was fighting a woman who was his enemy (and a warrior herself). So even if Isil had the impulse to get physical at one point, he could just leave angrily or immobilize her at worst... But yeah, it would be fun to explore an extreme theme, you may find out new stuff about the characters.

Your gallery's really inspiring for me - I like to check out people who are good at watercolours and sort of see their technique, and compare and contrast with my own. To my mind, the end painting in watercolours is the most disparate across artists, just because it's such a versatile medium (and literally 'runny', of course, so there's more room for interpretation). Anyway, I'm rambling. I love your technique, and the feeling of depth you achieve

Long story short - ani ona nie zrezygnuje dla niego z wystawnego życia, ani on nie rzuci dla niej życia łowcy, żadne z nich nie pójdzie na kompromis, więc po co mają się męczyć.
Tak wiem, chciałoby się żeby tej kołdry tam nie było, i żeby siedział przodem
