Hey, errybody! It's storytime, so grab a beverage and get comfy!
About five years ago, I lost my job in Denver and had extreme difficulty in finding another one, which ended up with me being forced to put about 90% of my belongings in storage and move into my mom’s spare bedroom in Colorado Springs. When I finally found new employment (sing it with me, friends. We all know the words. ) the only thing I could get was a crappy part-time retail gig that paid approximately jack.
Fast-forward five years later, and I seem to have acquired a new job! A full-time job! So I can move back into a place of my own and support myself! And have my life back!
The job is in Denver, where I spent many years and where I honestly feel like I belong and I will be moving back as soon as I can. However, the time frame and lack of money make it impossible for me to do so immediately, and therefore I must commute for a while.
So we arrive at the point of this post.
My car, Major Tom the Space Dodge, is 17 years old and has a few issues that aren’t really a big deal when making the under-ten-minute drive to my current job, but have to be fixed before I can begin making a daily 140-mile round trip. These repairs need to happen sometime in the next week and a half, because my new job starts on June 29.
What I usually do when I need to raise funds is throw out a discount code for my Etsy shop in an attempt to get people to buy my stuff, which has had mixed results, but which is duly being tried again:
Enter the code REPAIRTOMMY at checkout for 25% off your total purchase before shipping! Link to my shop is right here! spacehappy.etsy.com
Since I really, really, REALLY need funds, I’m also doing another thing (since, you know, mixed results with the jewelry sales), a thing I’ve never wanted to do, never thought I would do, but it needs to be done this time: if you don’t find anything in my shop that strikes your fancy, but still want and are able to kick a few bucks to the repair fund - here is a shiny and clickable PayPal donation link.

Signal boosts are appreciated, funds even more so. I thank you, Tommy thanks you, my self-respect thanks you.
