Description
EDIT 23-7-09has made a plz stamp out of this, so that non subscribed members can now use it too.
This is the code you have to past in your journal, shoutboard, or whereever you want to use it, if you're not subscribed. Copy it without the spaces:
:icondeviantplz :: iconpremiumplz:
and you'll obtain this:
Thankyou !
----
I think many of you have noticed, subscribed users have now "premium member" written next their username, instead of "deviant", like we're some sort of Γ©lite... Well, I hate it. I am a DEVIANT, dammit! Subscribed or not.
So, I created this stamp for all those who feel that slightly bit insulted by the new "labels" on dA.
Feel free to use. You don't need to ask permission, just don't claim it as yours.

That so pwns the Premium Membership idiocy! deviantSHIT sucks ass with its paying crap, it's like "You pay, you get everything. No pay? Fuck off you'll just get some shitty features." God I hate it. -_-

I really love the "Your mother", I love that quote, it also reminds me of a part in AVGN's review of Die Hard for the NES: "Cmon! Uh uh! Cmon! Ugh! Your mother! Fuck you up!" XD I simply love it.

Yes, since a bit now.
I still prefer "deviant", though.

I just totally ROFLMAO when I read the xXD
I totally agree though, I mean they should be glad people are actually interested in buying subs and are coming here to show their work and not somewhere else.
So what's the deal with 'NEEDS premium membership? We don't NEED anything.
D:
Totally added to mah stamp collection.

I'm also a so-called "premium member" now... and honestly it pisses me off. I liked my subscription until then and now I really think of letting it run out because I absolutely don't support this new "class system".

has launched an initiative, called "Beggar", to ask dA admins to change the "premium member" and the "needs premium membership" writings back to "deviant". You can read about it in his last journal. It also mentions the problem of the anonymous subscription, which is solved now.
If you feel so inclined, in that journal you can find different ways to support the "Beggar" initiative.

Could someone make this into a plz stamp? I could do it for you if you want, so that non subscribers can support the cause?

Spamkiller In reply to stuck-in-suburbia [2009-07-23 17:18:52 +0000 UTC]
Sure! I give you permission to make this into a plz stamp, that would be great!
Me and some other people are promoting a "Beggar" initiative, which concerns this problem and others related to it. You can read something about it here: [link] or here: [link] , and give it your support signing the letter of the first link with your avatar, and in many other ways, if you feel so inclined.

I agree: I'm a deviant and I see the others here as deviants - and so it doesn't matter *so much* for me what we are called. It's just a bit annoying... But it's much more serious in my opinion that they publish without their permissions the nicks of people who had given a subscription for others. In my opinion that's a violation of privacy, and I'm sure it would even be illegal in Germany.
Both sides of this aggressive advertising campaign in my opinion patronize the users.
Some links to more information, polls and discussions about this topic are found behind my sig "Beggar".

I think it could be privacy violation here in Italy too. I am probably doing a couple of stamps more, one for the privacy violation and one for that lousy "needs subscription" thing.
I saw the links. I think I'm joining.

I think it's probable that it's a privacy violation in Italy, too, because much laws - and especially those which matter in transboundary affairs - are already customized in Europe.

Spamkiller In reply to maikev [2009-07-22 19:07:25 +0000 UTC]
Probably. And in the last years laws on privacy violation have become more and more restrictive.
