This is one of the best Sonja's I've seen in a while because it conveys that Red Sonja is a woman, a beautiful sensual woman along with being a warrior that can slay entire armies. This fact gets lost an awful lot and you could easily transpose Conan or any guy into most Sonja scenes. You can't do that here because you get to the heart of Sonja in a lovely way. Great!

Very nice work on the top of her hair.
I think you could have gone a bit lighter/darker on the shadows and lights on her body tho.

yea certainly. How do you color things that aren't so linear though?

What I mean is lets say the panel was something like this [link]
except you know finished up and everything how would you go about coloring it without the solid closed linesd that I imagine most comics work with.

Eh, the process wouldn't be too different. I work underneath the lines (which are on a transparent layer, and it would be possible to do something similar with those pencils) so I'm not just bucket filling anyway. An image like that though would require some hue/saturation adjustments on the face seeing as how you have started the render process (shading) with the pencils.

wow so it is possible to do it though. My bud kept telling me it would be to difficult and couldnt imagine how it would be done. so my comic still has the hope of being colored. in fact i had someone color that one and it looks pretty damn good short of the issues in the picture from the scan.
