Updated app! Man, I looove these new apps, they're so cute. I dunno about my new app art but at least I can always update it if I can ever think of anything. P: Anyway, on to the bio, which I haven't really changed at all.

Character Description:
Name: Rye
Age: 25
Birthday: June 16th
Height: 5’6”
Occupation: Radio Broadcaster

Loves: Toast with strawberry jam, beetles, socializing, getting out of work, pastries, steak
                “You really got that for me?! You’re the greatest!”
Likes: Most insects, cooked fish, card games, gems or pretty rocks in general, spicy dishes, dogs
                “This is awesome, thanks!”
Dislikes: Raw fish dishes, spiders, tea, birds, tofu, people that are too serious, too many veggies
                “Uh… I’m sure I can find a use for this…?”
Hates: Weeds, being reminded rent is due, aphids
                “Er, you can just hold on to that.”
Personality: Rye is a hard fellow to upset. He’s very optimistic (although rather reckless because of it) and good at laughing at himself. He loves making small talk and getting to know everyone around him (especially the ladies). Talking and being sociable in general keeps him going. He loves to be involved with people. He’s good with his hands too- a bit of a jack of all trades- and has a bit of know-how with electronics that helps with rigging together broken things at the News Station (although they never last long and so he’s forever fixing his fixes too, but at least he can do it). He’s fairly clever in general, although it’s not typically something he puts to good use since he also prefers to escape trouble rather than deal with it. He’s not good at handling money and so the trouble he runs into most are the basic things like paying for a place to live, paying for groceries, etc. He likes his booze and he loves gambling and loses most of his money there. He enjoys a good fight too, although he relies on his fists and doesn’t know how to use any sort of weapon.
Background: Rye was born and raised in a big city on the mainland, although his family was poor and never had much and he spent most of his time bumming around with the other downtown boys. He got into his fair share of trouble as an adolescent, but did try to work, although he never could hold a steady job. He was good at looking dapper, and he’s a charmer and rarely had trouble getting jobs, the problem was maintaining that when he would much rather be slacking off with his buddies. It at least gave him a lot of experience with a variety of trades.
When he wasn’t losing jobs, Rye could typically be found in bars, playing cards, losing his rent money instead and racking up more debt besides. When he eventually racked up too many, and some with the wrong sort of people, he decided fleeing to the islands and trying to not be found was his best bet. Working at the radio broadcasting station, he’s not exactly keeping a low profile but he is trying to save up so he can go back and pay everyone back. Really!
Where to find him: Rye tends to sleep in as much as he can on weekdays, but he’ll always be at the News Station in Anura by 10am and stays there until the evening. If there’s some sort of event going on at night (competitions, rodeos, etc.) he’ll be at those, reporting or learning how to report. He’s still a bit new to the whole being a broadcaster thing. If he’s not occupied with work in the evening, he’ll be around town, socializing with people. It’s hard to pin an exact location on him when he’s free. He tends to go to bed late. On weekends, he’ll sleep in until noon if he can and then bum around on the beach with his fishing pole for most of the afternoon. Every now and then on Saturdays he’ll head to Trojan island for better fishing and to meet some new people.
Relationships: Rye isn’t planning on staying on these islands forever, so he’s not looking for a long term relationship. Not that that means that one couldn’t find him, but at the moment he’s more interested in brief hook ups. It’s much more likely that he’d lead on a girl for a while and then dump her as soon as things start to look serious than grow interested in marriage.

Sage: Daughter of the people he's renting from. Off limits but seems like an okay chick. He can still be friends with her, and is doing his best to be. She's kind of cute and silly and he likes hanging out with her and her friends.

Calla: Really uptight but good for a laugh (at her, although best to make sure she's not aware). Getting her to open up around him is a challenge he's taken on but he's not doing too well at it.

Chervil: ??? He makes good fish. Funny guy.

Tomi: She's pretty cute. Very entertaining personality too; it's always fun running into her around the news station. Kinda extreme about those frogs though.

Kiyoko: Good looking but kind of intimidating.

Fun facts:
Rye once worked a very brief stint at a pet store, but otherwise has no experience with animals. This farming community thing is pretty new to him.
He really isn’t half bad at cards, but he tends to get overconfident whenever he starts doing well.
He’s developed a liking for fishing since coming to the island (as far as he’s concerned, it’s the ultimate slacker sport, and gives him dinner to boot!).

I live in the Mountain Time zone and I'm a really slow rper (sorry). I work a lot and am a college student and am just chicken in general about rping but yeah, let me know if you want to rp because I do have a blast writing Rye and would love to meet more people. I prefer rping in Notes or Skype. I'll be a lot faster on Skype.
