Roseline sometimes played what she called "the patience game" with her shrunken morsels to work up an appetite. The rules of the game were simple. She just had to pop a little person in her mouth and toy with it for five minutes. However, if the little person were to drown in her mouth, she would force herself to spit it out. The goal of the game was to keep the tiny alive. If she could still feel it moving after five minutes, only then would she allowed herself to swallow. They tasted so much better when she forced herself to wait. Here, the anticipation became so intense that Roseline started to drool from imagining the panicked little man thrashing down her open throat. "Just 30 more seconds," she thought to herself.
