Jessica, a full-time student and part-time amateur flyweight MMA fighter, accepted all challengers to maintain her reputation as the baddest/toughest chick on campus. Amy Schumacher, Jessica's manager (and fellow student), first delivered the news on a Saturday afternoon in the main library. Apparently, there was a new girl on campus who was going around saying that she was the best female fighter in school. She was a transfer student from a local community college who went by the name Charlotte, and she too was accepting all challengers. Upon being shown a couple of high school yearbook photographs of her soon-to-be opponent, Jessica was not impressed and immediately demanded a match be set up as soon as possible.

On the day of the match, each coed made their way to the center of the central campus green (under the southeast clock-tower) as the rules required. Each competitor was allowed the accompaniment of two friends as witnesses who alternatively could function as impromptu referees in the event that a fight got out of control. Just before the predetermined start time, both Jessica and Charlotte approached each other from across the green. Jessica was a bit caught off guard by Charlotte's impressive height as she strode ever closer. Having only seen a head shot and a group photograph of her without a description, Jessica wrongly estimated that she and Charlotte were of a similar height and build. As it turned out, Charlotte just had a lot of remarkably tall and large friends at her old school. . .making her appear perfectly average in the group picture. Plus, that yearbook photo was taken during her Freshman year of High School and Charlotte had put on quite a bit more muscle in six years since. This didn't intimidate Jessica though. She simply reminded herself that she had "knocked out plenty of tall giraffe bitches" in her day.

As was tradition, both women started stripping down immediately as they approached within two paces of each other. Jessica was the first to rip off her blouse and throw it onto the ground in an exaggerated huff. Following Jessica's lead, Charlotte started pulling off her own shirt; roughly wrestling a pink sweater (which didn't seem to want to cooperate) over her head. Simultaneously, Jessica grabbed at her skirt to pull it away so she could reveal a set of black nylon shorts hidden underneath. But before she could pull down her skirt, the flyweight MMA fighter was momentarily stunned into a fearful state of shock as she caught a glimpse of the now exposed stomach of her opponent. Jessica had never seen abs so cut and tight in her life; beyond a "six-pack", Charlotte appeared to posses an "eight-pack" set of abdominal muscles. Jessica could only stare. She felt if frozen in time as the world seemed to grind to a halt around her; Jessica was completely gobsmacked by the amazon's core as its crevasses hypnotically flexed over a taught layer of skin that glistening with translucent beads of sweat. She watched transfixed as the young amazon's sinewy washboard abs tightened and slightly loosened as Charlotte gently twisted her upper-body in an attempt to extricate herself from the pink sweater which now entangled her neck and massive arms. Though only a moment had passed, Jessica felt like she had been standing in the same spot for several minutes; immobilized by a massive instance of cognitive dissonance. Only a moment prior, Jessica thought this would be an easy fight. Now, she suddenly realized that her opponent was bigger and more muscular than even the largest male MMA fighters she had ever met. Jessica fully understood that going through with this match would be a hopeless and humiliating spectacle.

And so, it would be an understatement to say that Jessica was starting to have second thoughts.
