Charles "Chip" Pierce was the highest grossing broker at his Wall-Street firm for seven quarters in a row. His professional stature and value to the firm insulated him to much of the indignities faced by ordinary victims of the shrinking virus. So much so that he was essentially treated as an equal by his colleagues. . . even after being reduced to doll-size. However, the long hours spent at the firm caused Chip to develop a false sense of entitlement relative to his physical stature. That is, he got so accustomed to the people around him treating him with respect that he often found himself surprised at the disrespect and casual danger lurking outside of his social bubble. For example, Bobby (one of Chip's closest friends and work colleagues) took Chip to the red-light district one Tuesday to treat him to a little action before returning to work. When Bobby's Porsche pulled up to one of the streetwalkers, he rolled his passenger window down to negotiate a price. Unfortunately for Chip, the prostitute didn't actually see him sitting in the passenger's seat when she stuck her head through the opened window. She assumed that it was Bobby who wanted the sex act because Bobby seemed to be the only person in the car; and so she opened the door to sit next to him.

Chip yelled in horror as the whore's giant round booty descended upon him. Luckily, she bounced up in shock after sitting on Chip but before pressing her entire weight into the seat. It could have been a lot worse. Ultimately, Chip's ego was damaged more than his body.
