The divorcing couple stared at each other for several seconds in stunned silence as they each tried to process what just happened. Katie thought she was returning to her marital home one last time to sign the necessary papers to place it on the market. Instead, she stepped into an empty house where her soon to be ex husband pointed a ray gun at her and pulled the trigger. For Jerry's part, he was totally unaware that the shrink ray he purchased on the Dark Web came with a growth setting; a mistake arising from his habit of never fully reading instruction manuals. If Jerry wasn't such a miserable cheapskate, his marriage wouldn't have fallen apart and he would have purchased a shrink ray with a shorter recovery period between shots. The device was trigger locked for the next five minutes. Unfortunately for Jerry, it would only take Katie two minutes to figure out the entire plot.

Katie looked down on Jerry from her new towering height; letting their significant size difference fully sink in before finally speaking.
