Mmmm so yeah, I got the new Invader Zim comic, and uh... yep it looks like they gave Dib a new design. Yep. And uhhh yeah... s'okay Whatev's.What? You expected me to freak out about his new look? Pffffftttttt! Tch!
What, just cause I'm, like, this HUGE Dib fan, you thought I'd be squealing like a moron and going completely, utterly insane-fangirl on you all? Ha! Hahaha! Pffffft! I mean, srsly, what's the big deal? Just because they made him look more adorable than ever? And gave him different hair and these beautiful baby-blue eyes, you thought I would have some sort of uncontrollable, spazz attack about it?

Okay, it took me a while to get this out because:
1. I've been really busy, and
2. I only NOW just calmed down enough from IZ comic hysteria to sit down and draw anything
But I just HAD to properly do something to express my immense joy and overwhelming fangirl love for the new Dib ^^
As for the comic, I just don't even know what to say. I'l like the show never ended It's everything we Zim fans have been begging for for years. And needless to say, I'm pretty happy with everyone's new looks
I have no idea if they'll keep the new designs, especially in the case of Dib's eye color (I love his brown eyes too, but OMG the blue... just loieraqih;vklawnkerna!!), but for the first issue I was very, VERY pleased ^^ I can't wait till the next one to see where it'll go, AND to see even more of my lovely, lovely lil Dibberz Invader Zim and Dib created by Jhonen Vasquez (aka. Master of My Eternal Soul)

-he's been hiding in his room watching for Zim to come out of his house for so long. X3 Looks like Gaz has adopted a new wardrobe, too. ^^ But as for Dib's aging, we can assume it's about, say, a year? For him to be watching Zim like this? So I guess he's 13 now, since it's been implied that Dib is 12 in the show, right? This new Dib definitely looks close to 13, I say. :3

That sounds about right. I know Jhonen has said he's 11 or 12, and my guess it's been about a year in IZ time that he's been holed up in his room. Actually though, I think his new look makes him look a bit younger, more like a little kid

I like his new hairdo, but the eye color change confuses me. I guess it's not a big deal, but I got used to reading about his "amber eyes" in fanfiction.

I think it confuses a lot of people I see it as nothing more than an artistic choice, and it'll probably change again when a new artist takes over. That's all I'm going to read into it, although it is funny seeing the crazy theories that are already cropping up about why his eyes are blue now
