The Rip Rod is one of the 65 playable vehicles in Hot Wheels Unleashed. It is one of the 20 Rare vehicles that can be obtained through Blind Boxes and Limited Offers or be gifted to players in a Reward Spot in City Rumble mode. The game erroneously says that the die-cast model is from the 2021 Track Builder 5 Pack but actually comes from the 2021 Hot Wheels Unleashed 5 Pack. The same applies for Night Shifter, Bye Focal II, 2-Tuff, and Night Burner.

A pretty solid buggy and great reward in City Rumble mode. This is another example of what the Mountain Mauler should've been, so we're just nipping it in the bud here. The Rip Rod at Legendary has very similar stats to many other cars. It is better because of its Level 3 Charged Boost, making it great for speed tracks. It also sports decent handling for those technical tracks, so it is better than cars like Supercharged and 2018 Ford Mustang GT. The Rip Rod is a great vehicle for being ranked at the bottom of S Tier, though it can be ranked higher or lower depending on what others think of its performance.

The Rip Rod is an S- Rank vehicle.

The Rip Rod appears as part of the Red Team in Hot Wheels: World's Best Driver.

-Forza Horizon 3
The vehicle appears as part of the Hot Wheels Expansion DLC along with Twin Mill and Bone Shaker.

-Asphalt 8: Airborne
The Rip Rod makes another appearance in Asphalt 8: Airborne, part of the Hot Wheels Update alongside Twin Mill and Bone Shaker just like in Forza Horizon 3.

-Forza Motorsport 7
The Rip Rod makes its second appearance in the Forza series as part of the Hot Wheels Car Pack that can be downloaded for free. It comes with the Twin Mill and Bone Shaker like Forza Horizon 3 and Asphalt 8: Airborne, sporting a 50th Anniversary paintjob for each.

-Forza Horizon 4
The Rip Rod, unlike its previous iterations in the Forza series, was part of the 'Mitsubishi Returns!' update during the Summer Season and could only be obtained by completing Daily Challenges.
