|HISTORY|

Rika was born in Opelucid City hospital on a full moon. She was born with white hair, redish--pink eyes, and a pale complexion; Albinism. She was deemed special by her parents and loved greatly, but only by her parents, older brothers, and relatives. On playgrounds she was avoided by other kids or picked on due to her strange appearance. She soon developed social anxiety and would cling to her parents instead of running off to play.
One day Rika became very sick and was taken to the hospital. The doctors proclaimed it asthma and told her parents not much could be done. When other kids heard they started avoiding her even more, with the excuse they didn't want to get sick from her (NOTE: Asthma is not contagious). For the next few years she was in and out of the hospital on almost a weekly basis. Her parents became over-protective and did their best to keep Rika in a stable environment at all times. Rika began to feel lonely, she wasn't allowed to play with other's anymore, they may have been mean but it was some sort of social interaction. Then her parents got a call from some relatives in Issho.
Rika's family was invited to live in Rosemill Village where the air was cleaner and there was less activity to stress Rika out. They moved in and Rika slowly got better. She did stay indoors a lot and read books all day, dreaming of owning her own Pokemon and going on an adventure to make friends. Eventually Rika grew old enough to become a trainer and set out from home with a dream to get strong and make friends.
