Description
Julia packed her camera in her tote bag, and left the tent. she had been sent on a job to photograph the landscape of the wilderness. The job paid well, and the chance to see beautiful scenery was more than abundant, but there was only one problem. She had to work with her long time rival, Melody.
The two of them were like water and oil. They constantly bickered as they pushed their way through the forest, and they would constantly try to sabotage each other's photographs.
Melody became fed up with it. She devised a sneaky plan that would guarantee that she would walk away with the whole payroll.
Days before Julia's Arrival Melody had been wandering the forest when she came across a large silk nest hanging high in the trees. her first thoughts were silk worms, she was suddenly dropped down on by a large spider. Melody narrowly escaped, but despite her near capture, she wanted to go back and photograph her discovery. She would be rich.
"hey, Julia..." she called to her rival.
Julia snarled and hissed at her. "What do you want?"
"I think we started off on the wrong foot. We need to be working together instead of against each other. We'll get done faster, and we can enjoy a nice quiet place to relax. What do you say? Truce?" Melody innocently smiled, but underneath she was plotting her true intentions.
Julia nodded her head, surprised by the Melody's sudden change of heart, but in the end she accepted the friendship.
Melody smiled as she led the way through the forest. "Come on! I want to show you what I found. It's right over here."
Julia gasped as she saw the mesh of webs dangling from the canopy. "Silk worms? I didn't know they lived in this state."
"These may be a new species. This silk isn't like normal silk worm silk. Go take a look for yourself." Melody pointed over to one of the trees.
Julia lifted herself into the tree, and steadied her camera for a shot. "You're right. I haven't seen anything like this."
Suddenly Julia was pushed from behind, and she fell off the tree limb, and right into the web. Julia paniced, and kicked about, causing her to get entangled in the silky mass. "Melody! Help me!"
"Why?" Melody chuckled.
"I'm stuck that's why!" Julia said.
"Of course you are. This is going to make me rich. Reporter stumbles onto new species of giant spider. Reporter can only watch as her fellow crew member is abducted by the spiders." Melody quoted her own news paper headline.
"S-spider?" Julia whimpered.
Suddenly the web jolted as the giant spider climbed out from its hiding spot and toward the girl.
Julia screamed, but she was helplessly trapped in the spider's web.
Melody laughed as she snapped pictures of the spider closing in on Julia, and wrapping her in a tight cocoon. "You're going to make me rich. And what's better, I'll finally be rid of you."
Melody continued to take pictures of the whimpering girl as she struggled in the spider's grasp, unaware of the second spider looming just above her head, ready to catch another morsel.
As Melody was about to find out far too late, greed can come back to haunt you.

Another picture I threw together in a bit of spare time. This was a funny little story idea that's been buzzing around in my head for a while, so I decided to doodle it out on a piece of paper. I've also decided to alternate between the old style of cocooning, and the new one. It's much quicker to do it this way. hope you all don't get to greedy.
