Description A powerful Jotun Seeress and wife of Aurvandil. A practitioner of Seidr magic, she and her husband gathered every time of arcane wisdom they could find in the realms to enhanced their understanding of prophecies. At the end of the First Age, Aurvandil, a warrior that sided with the Vanir during their conflict with the Æsir, was growing increasingly unstable, rambling on about something involving called Ragnarök. He ran off to find out the source of his vision he’d been plagued with. That was the last Groa ever saw him. During the final days of the war an onto the beginning of the second age, she devolved deeper into this Ragnarök finally reviving a vision of this prophecy. Ragnarök, The Twilight of the Realms: a 3,000 long winter where the realms quaked and the skies split, a horrible monster emerges with a flaming sword, an enormous wolf and serpent, gods fighting a mad king, and a child of the great Laufey at the center of the events leading up to it. Groa, shocked by this hid the prophecy from prying eyes, and headed out to find where her husband was last seen. She found him, just the parts the Drakes didn’t like. Only one person had these breeds: Odin. He suddenly found her at the site, explaining that he wanted to know about Ragnarök and after he refused, he was forced to kill him. He asked for her help to prevent this from happening and to save the realms. Groa realized that her story didn’t match her husbands, and with a realization she smiled and refused to. Quickly, she vanished and went underground until the beginning of Fimblevinter. She re-emerged to help Thrym, Gerdr, Aegir and Angrboda create a spell to save their people with something they called “The Soldier”. Afterwords, she met the resistance to tell the truth: Ragnarök isn’t the end of the realms! Rather, the end of Asgard and Odin, and she had a plan to use it to end the Allfather rule, but first, they would need to find Tyr. Design wise, I was inspired by an anime character from some show I passed by on the internet about monster girls and thought “eh, why the hell not? Spiders are synonymous with wisdom and can work with this character.”

~~~Update: I recently got called out that I borrowed some of another artist designs without asking permission. That wasn't cool and I'm owning up to that. I was inspired by Oni18064's Madame Web design for the head. Credit goes to the artist.
