Description
For my best friend's birthday.First attempt at making a large shape with merino. Note to self: it's more difficult than I thought it would be.

That's okay
How did you make this, by the way?
I know you used merino wool, but did you use it like felt? or?

Do you know about needle-felting? You work with the wool (roving) by stabbing it repeatedly with a barbed needle, which in turn felts the wool into a (relatively) solid mass that keeps its shape.

I thought that was it! I've always wanted to try it.

You should! As someone who cannot sew and is too impatient to invent knitting or crocheting patterns, needle felting is like instant gratification And it's easy to learn! Except when you accidentally poke yourself.

Ahaha, cool.
And ouch, a barbed needle would hurt if you stabbed yourself
I can sew, never learnt how to knit or crochet (too impatient, as is my mum who tried to teach me) but I dont have a sewing machine at the moment, so I should give it a go.
Thanks for inspiring me
