Description This is Queen Titania and Moth from Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at TRF. Their wings and dresses were sooo pretty! ^_^

Nice pic, but it makes me SO nostalgic. I used to have a place at TRF, over near Dead Bob's stage. Sigh. I can almost smell the turkey legs from here.

Love Dead Bob! I didn't make it to TRF this year but I hope to go next year. Why don't you have a place there anymore?

Too much going on. My wife started vet school, kids to be herded, house to be tended, assignments to finish, art to do --- overload. My good van is gone, and my old van is old. I'd need to do a lot of "starting over" to start doing faires again. I might be able to manage it next year, either TRF or Scarborough...

I try to go to both if I can. I go to school up in Denton so thats why I try to go to Scarby but I live in Houston so I grew up with TRF being the only ren faire around so I'm partial to it.

Vet school huh? Thats hard to get into I hear, I wish her the best of luck with her studies.

She's out now, which is why I'm thinking of trying to be adventurous again. Not as young as I used to be, though. I used to "commute" to TRF (and other, farther faires), going down on Friday, and coming back Sunday night. I graduated from high school out in Stafford, SW of Houston, and always like going back to the area -- except when TRF would get rained/flooded! Next time I'm at either, I'll be sure to let you know! So you're going to North Texas? My son almost went there, to study video game animation/design, but he is doing it online, instead. TRF is such a great faire, in many ways. From my perspective, I liked that they were easy-going about most things, and I loved those hot showers at the end of a long drive or day in the shop.

Actually I go to Texas Woman's. The other school in Denton North Texas was too big of a college for me and besides that it didn't have the program I wanted.

The last time I went to TRF it had rained the night before so of course the ground was a muddy mess. Which I swear happens at least once a year during that time. Ah well, gotta love Texas right?

Yes, lol! I forgot about "the other Denton school." Sorry! Yes, the rain at TRF's is part of its "charm," perhaps. I was there a few years ago when they shut it down for a weekend, due to the rain, and we closed up early a couple other days. I lost 40 prints to a leak one of those weekends. Yuk.

Ah man that sucks. I remember that year as my friend was going to go and complained that it had closed early. Ah well, unfortunatly things like that happen. I don't think its rained at Scarby as much, although I have a friend who works there at she said they've had snow a couple of times. Which at least doen't really ruin things, just makes for an interesting and cold ren faire.

I love your pic of the fairies. I just hate when people not dressed in costume get in the background. It ruins it for me. I wish we could cut them out. lol

Yeah that kind of upset me but I don't know enough about photo manipulation to do anything about it. Glad you liked the picture though!
