I wanted to try my hand at making an icon with Flash. It's okay, but the lines aren't as crisp. Should I make Flash an option when people want an animated icon? Because its definitely easier to animate in Flash.So I've been drawing Splash differently then her ref, so I made a new one along with a better Siren form, and then I hADDDDDD to practice for commissions with it. IT took longer to get to render the way I wanted then to actually do it XD. Anywho i'll be posting the new ref soon. Then I'll work on the animated commissions for a bit.

Oh god... AAAA. This makes me want to add a song to it, can I maybe use this, my idea is for the first frame or second, then wait a little then let her transform into that siren form or whatever it is. Ill give credit as well, if not that's okay!

Such smooth animation :0 !! I really love it! I am still trying to learn to animate smoother..I use Adobe Animate in my DMT class but I don't like drawing in Adobe. Do you have any suggestions?? I also use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

Illustrator is NOT recommended for animation. Sure the pen tool is cool but pen tool is on other programs too. Illustrator is just oof and doesn't have an animation timeline in it. Photoshop is very good for stylized brush animations and a more grounded feel, but it's a little more difficult to learn the timeline and frame ones, so i recommend looking up tutorials. Finchwing does a nice one on how to animate with photoshop! However knowing how to adjust to different programs can make you an asset in the industry so keep trying. Tech is always changing. Try drawing with the pen tool in Adobe first, it's easier to move lines with a right click and fix. Also you can use different line smoothness. One makes it more boxy and straight between points, another smooths your lines, another is completely your lines but also harder to fix with dragging cause of how many line portions it becomes. Brush is also good to practice drawing with too. However it's harder to keep lines consistent, so learning with the pen tool first is A+ easier and cleaner and you can worry more about fluid basic movements

I was wondering how you actually resize gifs without losing most of the quality? I have yet to find any good ways of resizing icons made on a canvas size of, let's say, 200x200.. since icons have to be 50x50.
