The lighter color chest armor makes him seem more of the white knight that a Paladin generally represents, at least to this old DnD nerd.

That's a astute observation that you made sir. But PALADIN (Not yelling, that's just how his name is spelled lol) Isn't really a white knight. He's more of a one-man-mercenary-army. So the chest armor would make him look too heroic (and it reminded me too much of Gears of War, how about you?). And PALADIN is bullet proof, so there is really no need for armor. But thanks for the comment. I appreciate it.
