Concept for my take on 's OC, Rothko.
I wanted to take his background as a nudist superhero and really expand upon it. I eventually came the conclusion/fabricated this backstory that these nudists considered themselves to be descendants of the Greek gods themselves; that explains his costume (or lack thereof). He and the other members of the squad where all about a primitive and pure state of being, one that allowed them to fight crime naked.

A loincloth, while awkward and potentially comedic, didn't really accentuate his strength the way I wanted too, so I added the belt and wristbands. After that I did some more experimenting: The toga felt like too much clothing for him; the diaper felt like too little. I compromised.

Then it was a matter of making other changes: hairy chest, facial hair, hair blondness. I first pictured Rothko as this dimwitted, goodhearted, older hairy guy; he eventually evolved into an equally dimwitted, kind, yet slightly douchey, young pseudo-Greek god super hero.
