Description
Design for a pilot parade uniform inspired by a kingfisher. The wings are not for use, but for decorationI haven't been active lately since I had to work for my university project. Project time was great, but I'm happy that I have some time for drawing now.

Man those wings; what a pretty decoration they are. Do they function something like a cape? Not that it's an important detail; I'm just curious. :3

Hey, thank you for the question My original idea was to do something like a parade uniform with heavy decorations. The wings function as a cape to make the outfit more luxurious. While designing the outfit, I got the idea, that this could actually be the normal uniform ( in an overly decorative world
) and I really liked the idea of combining the design of a bird with the job of a pilot. Since piloting a e.g. plane is not that far from flying...at least as I see it
I`m thinking about designing her a companion animal in the same color sheme. So when she would ride it, she would blend in perfectly and could not be seen. The wings would still function a a cape, but rather to cover her when she is on the bird

It certainly would make a lot of sense for it to match up with that job. Little symbols and parallels like tend to add a subtle depth to things that I feel a lot of individuals overlook. I myself have no problem with decorative uniforms
