Description Opera House Bel - On the weekend, Bel and I went to Sydney for a nice weekend. I had never been (Other than the airport)... it was a lovely weekend.

Here is a shot of the most recognised building in Australia, and my lovely girlfriend in front of it... this was a 3 second or so exposure with me resting the camera on the wall... I love the water...

The water is indeed neat, as well as the lights on the opera house. It is a tad blurry, but you did well considering your situation. Great shot.

it's a nice exposure shot, but too bad of the little blur... I've got the same problem, not having a tripod yet, but that bench wasn't really stable?
(or did the girlfriend move?)

Water is awesome, great lights, gives it that typical perfect contrast bw long exposure shots tend to have

good work

great exposure! great contrast. i agree i think the water turned out really nice. all the curved lines come together to create a great composition, focusing first on her eyes, then leading your eyes to the opera house. really nice.

This is the pic that drew me to your gallery via the master that is known as *ash ( )

The pic seems to lack some sharpness or focus or something, but I love everything else! Even that scratch, hehehe, it gives it a "real" photo feeling.... I've been learning lately that sometimes the imperfections in a photo actually help it.

Anyway, cheers and happy DeviAting.

Wow nice shot dude, good exposure. Good idea to do it in b&w. That and the look of the shot and model remind me of, if you'll bare with me here, this vibe that WWII shots and films of england have, like the world is a bigger place than all of us, but here we are falling in love while the bombs are going off. If you get my drift Very romantic.

What a compelling composition! I love the city lights, looks like you must have had a nice evening. I would love to go to Australia someday, but I feel like I'm seeing it this way, too. Thanks for sharing

A moment of serenity in a bustling city. Photography is best when it captures a moment rather than an image. This is truly a moment
