Description
This is Jake, a character from a storyboard project I had to do for Layout class. Personally, I think the story is rubbish and nonsensical, so I got bored and decided to do a character design based off of the little squiggly thumbnails I'd only done so far. He's nervously waving at a Mermaid named Sonia that he has fallen in love with...yeah. The story is even lamer than the description sounds..

I used some of the very few alcohol/deleter pens that I had (hence the very unimaginative colour scheme) and used colouring pencils for the first time in ages. Background done in Potatoshop.

Rant: Now that I look at it, I fucking hate the shading on the left arm. Wtf?
