What's this? A Completely new character who's major to the story??
Actually, Buzz has been a character I've long had in mind for PAIN, but they've had the unfortunate problem of not being very interesting. But! I am planning on changing that. Finally gave Buzz a much more interesting design than the original one (that I've never shared lol, it was just all sleek with yellow-black stripes) and I have put some effort into her backstory + motivations let's go.

Buzz is a larger than average cat who's been warped into a very insect-like appearance - particularly that of a bee/wasp. Most of their fur has been replaced by a strange mix of tough carapace and leathery skin. Coarse, long fur remains on their neck and half of their tail, yellow striped with black. Almost comically small wings sprout from Buzz's shoulders and his eyes are eerie, dark and compounded (plus a small third eye.) An imposing, large stinger curves at the end of his tail.
Buzz is covered in scars, most minor thanks to her durable carapace. Though, her paws are particularly scarred, the thick skin seeming to have been eroded by something and a few front toes are missing.

Buzz is - you guessed it - cursed with the features of bees and wasps. The most impressive of which are his ability to fly (if you can believe it with those pitiful things) and venomous stinger. The venom of which is only potentially deadly after multiple stings, but it only needs one sting to give you an agonizing dose of pain. And that's assuming it didn't just stab through a vital organ.

Buzz arrived in PAIN before the fall of Kill, extremely mad for a reason she couldn't even remember, yet the feeling lingered. What happened? Why is she this... this awful, buzzing thing? She escaped the Heart quickly and shortly after found herself in Fear's territory. The red environment feeling just as aimlessly frustrated as she was.

He hated bees. At least, that was Buzz's best guess for where this anger was stemming from. He was disgusted by those little striped beasts. Creepy. Annoying. Painful.

Everyone hated them. That had to be it. Couldn't shake the feeling of other cats always eying them. Glaring at them. A striped beast.

So why not act the part? They became thoroughly standoffish. Pestering and stinging anyone and everyone who dared to mess with her, Buzz quickly earned a reputation as one of Fear's more formidable members. They were ruthless in battle, evading and stinging until their opponents couldn't even stand from the pain. And once downed, Buzz would tear into them some new scars to remember. No one messed with the wasp if they didn't want to get stung.

Buzz had killed more than one cat in those fights. And why should she have cared? This is what she was made to do now after all. PAIN was a place for cats to suffer and die.

But in one bleary moment standing above a dead cat - one Buzz had killed with a single sting through to their heart (their eyes were still open wide. Staring at him.) One who Buzz had never seen before, who dared to approach him (were they lost? Didn't they know not to mess with him?) One whos curse he couldn't even recall (did he even know it in the first place? He could only remember them screaming.) When it hit him all at once. Harder than any physical injury he'd ever endured.

Why did he just... kill them? Why was he doing this?

The thoughts and emotions painfully blared through her mind like a hornet's nest. Buzzing with an agony and profound fear unlike the kind her Pillar embodied. Guilt. She fled Fear's territory suddenly, disappearing into Free's. The rainy blue serving a new reflection of her emotional state.

Why did he become like this? What made him think it was right?

PAIN was a place for cats to suffer and die. Buzz was powerless to change that. They were powerless to change the curse they'd been given. The beast that they've been made.

But finding Free's group, being among cats who were so determined for something better, Buzz's agony morphed into a barbed resolve. They were now determined to escape from PAIN and what it had made of them.

i think I may have went a little too ham on the design. I'll probably simplify a lot of the little markings in future drawings. What can I say, I was in the zone.
