So, I wanted to give a little update on the trashrabbit. I hot glued the foam to his lower jaw, and I’ve shaved the face foam down just a little to give it more of a rounded appearance.

Then I tried it on. It smelled like fresh hot glue, but was suprisingly comfortable. The Jaw worked like a dream. I’m debating on even using the elastic, as it doesn’t seem to need it at this point. The teeth may change that, making the jaw heavier.

Usually, the aim of my fursuits is to hide the person inside, making it so that it’s REALLY OBVIOUS has been kind of fun. Becoming part of the fursuit is interesting.

I’ve got three different types of clay I’m going to try making his teeth with on Wednesday. I’m going to use the position of the teeth to give him his trademark smile. And I’l also be cutting off some of that plastic mesh along the upper jaw.

I’ll also be giving him Toy Bonnie’s incisors, because I really like that rabbit look. When I draw Springles I do give him the buck teeth.

Yes, I am having to hold the faceplate in place with my finger, otherwise it dangles. There’s going to be fasteners involved in the future, but they will go on the outside of the costume, so I can keep playing with the inner workings.
