Trying not to topple over as I'm butted really hard in the backside, I look up from where I'm sitting and..well I pretty much gape. She's beautiful, and I'm completely stunned by her. I don't know why I hadn't expected those beautiful subtle blues, but she's gorgeous all the way down to those eyes she possesses and those tipped horns, and I know she'll make good friends with my other little girls, SHINee and Misconception. Hopefully the boys like her too, though I'm sure they will.
Thinking about all of this, I've sat here for too long just gawking and she roughhouses it again and barrels me over into the ground with her snout. She huffs a little impatiently and I chuckle. "Okay, okay, I'm coming I swear." I pack up my remaining items that have somehow scattered out of my bag and I lift myself, looking more thoroughly at her now and placing a hand on her snout. "You are..very beautiful I hope you realize that." I wave my hand and make a head motion off in the direction of home and begin to walk beside her.
My mother's side of the family lives in a place known as Portland, Oregon, and there the weather is always overcast and there's a lot of moisture in the air and looking at this Kalan, that's what seems to be embodied on her fur. I had planned my next Kalan to be named Huffington but now that I look at her, even if she did huff at me it seems like a male name and like it just doesn't fit her. However, in my opinion some weather terminology might fit her better.
So I look at her and begin to talk while walking home. "Well..to me your fur looks overcast so I COULD call you Overcast. But the clouds that appear when it is overcast have different names. There's Stratus clouds, which are low layers of gray clouds with a uniform base. Usually there's just a little drizzle associated with them, which would fit with the dew drop looking formations on your fur. There's also Altostratus clouds, which are middle layers of clouds with gray or bluish sheets in a uniform base. This would fit because your fur is more blue grey than just grey.
"So, of those three names what do you think you like best? Overcast, Stratus, or Altostratus?" I look at her, hoping for her to decide.

She turns her head at the names; she doesn't feel like an Overcast, so she rules that one out. She likes the shortness of Stratus, but also likes the superior sound of Altostratus.

I nod and think it over a bit. I too like the superior sound Altostratus gives off, but Stratus seems to fit her and is shorter. In the end, I look towards her. "How about we name you Altostratus, but just call you Stratus for short? As a nickname?"
