I do actually still really, really love them both but I think I am leaning towards the girl because of her blue, and since Lizzie seems to prefer the little boy, I think I'd love to take this little girl! C: <3
So the blue and the leopard spots on the black actually make me think of water and bubbles in the abyssal ocean where it's very dark, and the yellow glow spots remind me of the bio-luminescence of some of the creatures down there. The red end to her tail reminds me of a project I did senior year in high school in my marine biology class on the Gulper Eel, which actually has a red, glowing, bio-luminescent end to its tail as well.
Due to all of this I would like to name her Aphotic. The Aphotic Zone in the ocean is the bottom most layer of the ocean zones, where light does not reach, also known as the Abyss. Due to this, many of the creature in the Aphotic Zone provide their own light through bio-luminescence.
