While you dance, your ball falls from your pocket without you noticing. A watching lhedis noticed and waited for you to pick the ball back up. When you didn't, it became clear to her that you didn't notice so she decided to bring the ball back to you.

As I dance and sing I notice the Lhedis who's approached me with the ball I dropped, and I smile, taking it and continuing to sing before throwing it for her to go catch. She seems to love the ball so I watch as she chases after it and brings it back again, tail wagging. She's gorgeous and obviously playful.

By now I've stopped my dancing but I'm still singing quietly, and I kneel in front of her and pet her. I was hoping for a girl, what with the song I chose, and I sang happily to her, "Noona neomu yeppeooo.." She wagged her tail and I pet her so more. "It means Noona, you're so pretty..and you are so pretty..you look like the remnants of a lightning strike..like some electric current is flowing through yo--" I stop and think about it for a second. "Maybe that's why you're so hyper and playful? Kaede just lies around on his lazy butt all day and when I get up from the bed he takes over. Maybe you can get him up. He's brown like you too..you two would look perfect in a photo together." I smile and she wags her tail, dropping the ball at my feet.

Immediately, I know what to name her, as I'd looked the name up before. "How about I name you Elysia? It's from Greek Pedion Elysion, the name of the heavenly fields of Elysia, a section of the Underworld mentioned in Greek mythology. The mythological place name may have evolved from the designation of a place, or person, struck by lightning (enelysion, enelysios); if so, the name means "lightning-struck."

Of course she barks happily and wags her tail and I smile and move to hug her and pet her more. I get up and she picks the ball back up, proudly claiming her prize as her own and no one else's from this day forward as we walk.

As we walk I go back to singing and dancing, changing the lyrics a little. "Elysia neomu yeppeooo.." <3
